Christmas! Christmas!

I had begged Alex to put up our christmas tree since the beginning of November, but we couldn't decide on getting a real tree or a fake. We got a fake one from Target,  and it was on sale for about a $120? Super cheap, pre-lit, and its perfect!

The fun part was buying all the stuff for it, and trying to decide what colors. It's like a wedding, you pick three to four colors & you're stuck with it. I grew up with a grandmas that either had; a all gold tree, no tree, and a tree that had so much on it you couldn't even see the tree.  I decided to keep it simple black&white. Its all mostly DIY ornaments, because I didn't want any sparkles, or weird santa's.  I have some round ornaments, but I'm regretting getting them. I did my own tree skirt, which I thought was going to be super hard.

I got two yards of the fabric I wanted, but only needed one.
Then I followed a pattern, I saw on Pinterest. I actually put the extra fabric around the tree. It looks super cute.

Next I did, our letters of our first name. The lady at Hobby Lobby thought I was doing a Peter Pan tree. Like what? I just painted them black and white, and it looks good!

I did these cute wooden ones with just a Sharpie. I later hot glued string on top so they would stay in my tree. >> Now this is why I don't like my round ornaments

I got my star from Target, and I did my yarn Pom-poms around the tree.  I loved how it turned out, and Nixon just can't stop staring.
